                                                        Science Fair: Friday March 2

                                                        Calling all Woodridge Scientists!
The Science Fair is coming up in early March!  It’s time to learn about volcanoes, mold, electricity, and all the other
wonderful projects our Woodridge scientists dream up. The fair is on Friday, March 2, 2012, 6:30-8:00 pm, so there is still a lot of time to complete a project.  We encourage ALL students in ALL grades to participate.  We had over 170 entries in the Science Fair last year and hope to have even more this year! The Science Fair booklet went home in early January and has lots of great information about the Science Fair. (You can download a copy of the science fair booklet here.)

Every participant will need a display board. If it is past that date and you did not order, we will have ordered a few
extras, so check with us to see what colors are available. Display boards cost $3.50, cash or checks made payable to the Woodridge PTSA. If you need ideas, some great resources are your child’s teacher, the books in the Woodridge library, or Mrs. Peterson’s web links (
                                                        http://www.bsd405.org/Default.aspx?tabid=1561).

Project entry forms (last page of the science fair booklet) are due in the office on Thursday, February 9 and we will have an exciting science assembly on Friday, February 17 from the Pacific Science Center called the Super Cool Science Show!
                                                        grades K - 2 assembly will be from 9:15 to 10:00am, grades 3 - 5 assembly will be 10:30 to 11:15a

We also need parent and high school volunteers to help before, during, and after the Science Fair.  To volunteer, or if you have questions, please click here to sign up for a shift (remember to click "Save" after you enter your name) or contact Science Fair coordinators Kristen Lane (

Our Woodridge scientists are oozing with talent!
