dream big gala faq:
What is DREAM BIG GALA?
Woodridge Dream Big Gala is one of three fundraisers sponsored by the PTSA and takes place every two years. The money raised benefits students directly by providing funds for additional classroom staff and science and reading programs that otherwise would not be possible. This year's event is a departure from previous years in that a sit-down dinner will not be served. Rather, we invite you to enjoy a reception where you can browse the museum, mingle with families, and nibble on passed hors d'oeuvres while also taking part in a Silent and Live Auction.
When and where is it?
Date: Saturday, February 8, 2020
Venue: Bellevue Arts Museum, 510 Bellevue Way NE, Bellevue WA 98004
Who can attend?
Dream Big Gala is an adults-only event. Family, friends, neighbors. volunteers, staff and alumni of Woodridge Elementary are all welcome.

Tickets are $80 per person. To purchase tickets online click the "Buy Tickets" button below or return the RSVP that will be sent home with your child on Feb 1 with cash or check. Extra invitations are available in the school office.
When you buy tickets online, you'll be prompted to "set up an account" with our secure, online auction tool in order to process payment.

Can I sponsor a teacher to attend the auction and dinner?
Of course! For teachers, the night is a chance to get out with their colleagues to celebrate the school and their own accomplishments in making it a great place for our kids to learn! A great way to tribute them is by sponsoring a ticket. Contact Carmen Brenner to make arrangements.
What is the Dress Code?
Festive or Smart Casual - Nice pants, jeans and a nice shirt, skirt or dresses are all OK. We recommend comfy shoes. Please, no t-shirts/sneakers.
Where do I park?
Parking is free of charge during the event at the parking lot next to the event venue, (Bellevue Arts Museum).
Are there any discounted hotel accommodations?
Yes. Historically, this event has been held at a downtown hotel and, as a convenience for those who did not want to drive home after a night out, we arranged for a discounted hotel room rate. This year, we have secured at $159 room rate at The Westin, which is right next to BAM. If you would like to book a room for that night, visit the Westin's booking website before availability runs out.
If I can't come, can I still make a donation?
Yes! You can make a donation on the auction website or by returning the RSVP portion with cash or check. You can also donate an item to be auctioned, such as services from your business, gift cards, or even a couple nights at a condo or cabin you own. Your generous support helps make Woodridge Elementary a great place for every student.
Where do the auctioned items come from?
Generous businesses, families, friends, staff and alumnae of Woodridge Elementary donate all of the items for the auction. Items will reflect our community and it's wonderful diversity ranging from classroom projects made by our students to unique experiences provided by members of the school community and items and experiences donated by local businesses.
Will all the items be expensive?
No, there are items for everyone's budget. The auction has items starting as low as $10 (Silent Auction) and ranges up to a few thousand dollars (Live Auction).
If I don't plan to spend a lot of money, should I still attend?
Absolutely! Everyone in Woodridge Community is encouraged to attend. It will be a fun evening with old friends and a great time to make new ones whether you spend a lot of money or not. This is a perfect opportunity to build our Woodridge Community and to show support for our school.
How do I collect what I bid on in the Silent and Live Auction?
At the end of the night, please proceed to the checkout table where they will process your purchases. You may collect your items at this time. Please take your purchases home with you.
