Woodridge Book Exchange


Summer is quickly approaching and here's your chance to pick up some new reading material…for FREE! Sort through your books, bring the ones you're done with, and exchange them for something 'new'! Please only bring children's books in good condition -- chapter books are especially popular.

HOW IT WORKS: 


1.  BOOK DROP OFF: June 11th, 12th, 13th and 14th.  Drop off books between 8:45 - 9:10am Monday - Friday  across from the main office. (Important: Books cannot be dropped off the day of the Book Exchange.)

2.  “SHOP”: June 17th
On Monday, June 17th, you will get to "shop" for other books with your class. You earn one free book for every two books you donate. Children can receive a maximum of 10 books and no child leaves empty handed.

PARENTS, you will get a chance to shop, too, from 3:00 - 3:30pm on Monday, June 17.  Look for board books, classics, etc. Books will still be free (while supply lasts) and the maximum per person will depend upon how many books are left after the students pick theirs.

  
Volunteers

Volunteers are needed to help with the book exchange during these times: 

  • Drop off volunteers: We need 5 volunteers each morning during book drop off from 8:40-9:30am.  
  • Event day volunteers: We need lots of volunteers in 1 and 2 hour shifts during the Book Exchange from 9am-4pm.
