What's a "Cake Walk"?

DEFINITION:
/'kak, wok/
noun:  a promenade or march, of black American origin, in which the person with the most intricate or eccentric steps received cakes as prizes 

How it Works
Although the origin of the cake walk had people strutting their stuff, today's version is a little more toned down  

• Participants walk around a numbered path
• When the music stops, everyone stops walking
• A number is called out.
• The winner is the person standing on the number called.
• Prize = cake or treat, their choice

What's needed

• Over 100 cakes and treats
• Homemade or purchased - we like our treats no matter how their made!  
• Please include the ingredients for homemade or store bought
• Gluten free items needed too!
• No refrigeration provided
• Treat baskets are to be 10" or smaller in diameter (don't forget to put the treats in them!)
• Get them to the school office June 5th, no later than 5:00 PM.
