A note from Principal Hepworth regarding our Direct Fund Campaign.
"The money that is raised through this campaign will be used to directly impact our students’ education. Raising this money in the first part of the school year helps pay for things that are not fully covered by the school budget (e.g. additional student literacy support, additional student math support, field trips to introduce experimental and real-world experiences and applications…the list goes on-and-on)."

Dear Woodridge Parents/Guardians,
Thank you for your continued support of your child(ren) and their education at Woodridge Elementary School. I continue to be grateful for each of you and your commitment to giving your child the best possible education as well as your support in fostering their love for learning! As we continue to partner with you, I believe it’s important to note that your commitment does not go unnoticed. During this first trimester, I want to share with you communication regarding a Direct Fund Campaign our community is launching in order to further support each and every child here at Woodridge. The money that is raised through this campaign will be used to directly impact our students’ education. Raising this money in the first part of the school year helps pay for things that are not fully covered by the school budget (e.g. additional student literacy support, additional student math support, field trips to introduce experimental and real-world experiences and applications…the list goes on-and-on). Woodridge’s PTSA is running the Direct Fund Campaign from November 2-14 and the goal is to raise $41,000. Please consider becoming a Silver Eagle donor by donating $100 per student during this campaign. If you’re unable to donate $100, any amount will help. If you’re unable to donate money, then please know your time is always of value as well! Woodridge PTSA recognizes the more we can give, the more we’ll be able to support funding for all programs and extracurricular activities to be able to carry on throughout the year. To encourage student participation and inclusion in helping to play a part in recognizing each and every student during this campaign, the PTSA is trying something new! Each student is being asked to make a flag representing where they were born. At Woodridge we represent a global society and in addition to the students, 100% of our faculty as well as the PTSA board members are participating in this project (which will be displayed in the main entrance). I am super excited to see what our students will come up with! The flags will be placed on the world map mural and will visually represent our world-wide collective efforts in supporting the education of each child here at Woodridge. I’ve also been told that a cool new magnetic bumper sticker will go out to all students if we have strong participation in this Campaign, so I hope you will join us in making these flags and consider your donation support at this time! In conclusion, thank you for taking the time to read this letter, and whether you are able to give or not, know that I/we deeply appreciate your dedication to your child and our school. Sincerely, Nicole Hepworth Principal Woodridge Elementary School |
