We want after-school classes to be a fun and positive experience for all students. Please take a moment to talk with your child about the class they’d like to join and make sure they’re excited to participate. After-school programs are designed as enrichment opportunities, not child care. To help everyone enjoy their time, students are expected to participate respectfully and follow class guidelines. If a child is repeatedly disruptive, they may be asked to leave the program.

Itinerary
Classes are normally 60 minutes in length. Students will arrive at the field, check in with the Lead Coach, and then get a soccer ball to warm up while other students arrive directly from the school. Once all students are checked in, groups will be divided by age and then by skill level. Requests for a certain group can be made prior to the program start date. Once in their individual groups, each coach will go through that week's curriculum for the next ~55 minutes. 5 minutes prior to the end of the class, students will line up with the Lead Coach so that they can be checked out by their parent or guardian.

VEX Robotics – Magikid Robolab Bellevue
📅 Fridays, 3:30–5:00 pm | April 17 - June 12
📍 Woodridge Elementary, Portable 5 | 2nd AL–5th graders | 10 Sessions | $360
Magikid Bellevue is excited to bring hands-on robotics and coding to Woodridge! In this engaging afterschool program, students will build and program robots using VEX GO and VEX IQ kits—the same systems used in worldwide robotics competitions.
Each week, students will work through fun, project-based challenges that combine engineering, problem-solving, and teamwork. From designing moving vehicles to coding sensors for obstacle courses, kids will explore how creativity and technology come together in real-world applications.
Our goal is to spark curiosity, strengthen STEM skills, and prepare students for future opportunities in robotics competitions and beyond. All robotics kits and materials are provided.
A note on mixing new and returning students:
Students work with VEX robots and focus more on completing different missions and game challenges each trimester, such as obstacle navigation, object-pushing games, or team competitions. While some of the core robot structures may be similar (especially for competition-style robots), the themes and challenges change each term, so students are solving new problems and trying different strategies.
Our classes are also designed to work well for mixed experience levels. New students can learn the fundamentals of building and driving robots, while returning students often deepen their skills by improving their designs, experimenting with new strategies, and collaborating with teammates during challenges.
Maximum 14 students.
