After-School Programs FAQ

We’re so excited to offer engaging after-school enrichment classes for our students! To help things run smoothly, here are a few important reminders:

• Please inform your students' teachers of their afterschool class schedule.
• Please remind your students to listen and follow afterschool teacher's direction. If a student is too disruptive, they may be asked to leave the program.
• Please pick up your students on time.
• Please email the afterschool class teacher if your child will miss a class. 

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. The class I signed up for got cancelled. Why is that? 

A. Please note some partners require a minimum number of participants. If the number is not met, the class will be cancelled before it begins. Any payments made to the partner will be returned to you.

Q. I cannot sign up for the class and it says it is full. Why is that?

A. Please note our programs will have a participant limit due to limited space. Some classes offer a waitlist.

Q. Is there a school bus after the enrichment program?

A. No, there will not be a school bus after the above after-school classes.

Q. Can preschoolers register for after-school programs?

A. Unfortunately, no. Our after-school programs are designed for students in grades K–5 only. At this time, there are no plans to expand to preschool-aged children.

Q. I have payment-related questions about an after-school program. Who should I contact?

A. For any payment questions, please reach out directly to the program vendor. Their contact information is available on the signup website. The PTSA does not handle payments for after-school programs.

Q. Can programs be adjusted to accommodate my child? (For example: dates, times, grade range, location, etc.)

A. We understand it can be frustrating when schedules don’t align perfectly. Program timing, grade range, and locations are determined by vendor availability and space at Woodridge, so unfortunately we’re not able to make individual adjustments.

Q. Can non-Woodridge students join Woodridge’s after-school programs? (For example: siblings, friends.)

A. We’d love to welcome everyone, but our after-school programs are designed specifically for Woodridge students. This helps us keep programs fair and manageable for our school community.
