Reflections Showcase & Celebration

Description

Reflections 2025–2026: “I Belong!”

Calling all young artists to get involved with our annual art event, Reflections!

Reflections is a National PTA arts program that encourages students to explore their creativity and express themselves through original works of art. This year’s theme, “I Belong!”, invites students to reflect on what belonging means to them and share their unique perspectives through art.

Students may submit entries in any of the six arts areas (click the category to see the rules and guidelines):
  • Dance Choreography – originally choreographed dance composition.
  • Film Production – original works, with or without sound, of animation, narrative, documentary, experimental or music video/film.
  • Literature – works of fiction, nonfiction, poetry, prose, drama, short stories and lyrics.
  • Musical Composition – original musical composition, with or without words.
  • Photography – color or black and white, included techniques: photogram, negative sandwich, and multiple exposure.
  • Visual Arts – drawing, painting in tempera, oil, acrylic, watercolor & t-shirt paints, computer generated art, two-dimensional collage, printmaking, needlework & leather tooling.
* Students may submit entries in more than one category, but a separate entry form must be completed for each.

Accessible Arts Division: Students who identify as having a disability and receive services under IDEA or ADA may choose to enter the accessible art division.

How to Participate:
1. Create an original piece of artwork inspired by the theme.
2. Complete the entry form. Please type your information in the fillable form and ensure both parent and student signatures are included.
