We have the chance to keep plastic film out of landfills! This week, aligned with Earth Day, our 4^th grade Green Team is hosting a Ridwell recycling drive. You’re invited to bring clean and dry plastic film (ziptop bags, Amazon envelopes, grocery bags, bubble wrap, and lots more) to school between April 20^th and 24^th and Ridwell will make sure it stays out of landfills. Each classroom will have a collection bag as will the main office! This info sheet explains what plastic film is and why it’s hard to recycle, and this video shows a ton of examples. This link will test your plastic film IQ. All the plastic film we collect during the drive will be turned into Trex decking!
